Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid's mother is Chinese and she was born in Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn hails from the American South. Olivia was only 2 when her parents split up. She was raised by her stepfather as well as her mother who was also a United States Air Force member. The family emigrated to Oklahoma and moved to various locations, however she spent the bulk of her childhood in Tokyo. In this period, Olivia participated in various local stage productions. Later she became an Japanese model. Olivia moved from Japan to Los Angeles when her family finally came back home to the United States to follow her dream to be an actress. Her acting journey began with a small role. Her career then took off when she was cast in the role of Mily Acuna in the Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007 she appeared as Rob Schneider's receptionist. She hosts "The Daily Nut" and"Formula D," the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. She enjoys surfing, which she is still practicing after the TV show Beyond the Break (2006). Also, she is a black belt in taekwondo. When she was two, her mother got married. This time she married an US Air Force serviceman. They have relocated numerous times. She lived the majority of her life in Tokyo Japan since that was the place where her father worked. She studied journalism at the University of Oklahoma and also minored Japanese, dramatic arts and drama.
